NOMINATIONS PLEASE!

This year at our annual Paganfest, July 13-18-2016 we of Canadian Pagan Spiritualists, Earth and Sky Connection and The Paganfest Series community would like to recognize our Pagan heros. In order to do so, we welcome all to nominate somebody from our community of unique and wonderful people who stands out as a hero! We will be offering prizes for those who receive the most nominations as a thank you for their dedication to the old ways and persistent will to help others. We want to recognize those who convey an accurate image of Paganism and stay true to themselves to live as a prime example of the old ways translated to life today.  We welcome all to think deeply about the people in their lives and the people they are thankful to have met in our community.

We are very excited for this opportunity to showcase the heros of our unique and ever-growing community, and reward them for their undying commitment to these old loved pagan ways.

Pagan Super Heros Best

Superheros in the Pagan Community.

As in every community there are those recognized to be the “heros” of the community. When you think of the word “hero,” what comes to mind? It may be those of the fictional realm; superheros with super powers, which wear capes but also live a separate more normal and simple life. The same can be said for the heros of our own world. The people who are police officers, nurses or doctors, volunteers, and those who selflessly serve the community for other’s benefit. What people may not realize is many who practice the Pagan ways are among these heros. This year we of Earth and Sky Connection and the Paganfest community wish to cast recognition upon these superheros in the Pagan community, who practice the ways of our ancestors and push to spread these amazing values through hard work and the genuine desire to help others. At the core, this is what our practice is about and we believe that these people deserve the spotlight.

Do you think you may know somebody who is a hero in our community, someone you may like to nominate? Keep reading to learn more about what kinds of superheros in the Pagan community that we’d like to thank!

On the Honor Roll

Lady Tamarra S James

Do you know anybody in the Pagan community who has demonstrated a strong will to help, to educate, and to overall improve the lives of other people through the utilization of our old ways? Consider those who use the principles of Paganism to propel their professional work forward. Someone who has dedicated their work to others, and represents what Paganism truly comes down to.

  • Artists who use a variety of mediums to portray knowledge and awareness of the Pagan community,
  • Those who have publically advocated for the Pagan community.
  • Those who have given their time and effort to teaching others throughout the community.
  • Those who have offered their gifts to others, spoken on our community’s behalf, or volunteered their time to a spiritual cause.

Performing Artists and Artists

There are many in our communites that utilize the Muses to portray their personal love and beliefs regarding the earth and the old ways! They are painters, musicians, singers, photographers, poets, writers, actors, jugglers, fire spinners, fire dancers, hoop dancers, carvers, sculptures, crafters, builders, psychics, mystics and healers.

In many cultures and traditions, heros such as these make up a significant part of the lore and very basis for their beliefs. In many belief systems, healers take up the majority as perceived heroes because of their selfless actions. Healing others truly is an art, and takes a special kind of person.

Continuing with these examples of “artists”, this can translate to so many things in the present day. Heros today can be those who use, say, music to heal or to convey important messages. They can also be those who use their extensive knowledge of oils and herbs to create a myriad of combinations made for just as many purposes. Heroes’ can come in various shapes and sizes!

Listening to meditative music, dancing, and even therapeutic drawing or painting are all accepted forms of healing, teaching and sharing by many pagan people all around the world. Many in our community practice these types of muses, and even share their knowledge and expertise with others. Practicers of Reiki, crystal healers, and even singers and songwriters who share knowledge through their music. These are some of the types of heros we’d like to recognize!

But it’s also important to keep in mind that there are so many ways to be a hero today. We wish to recognize all kinds of superheros, those on the Honor Roll and those that better fit into the Performing Artist and Artists in the Pagan community, who wish to teach and guide others into the happiness brought by a more natural and spiritually guided life.
